THE PROJECT

‘Where You’d Rather Be’ campaign.

When Corona wanted a mural painted depicting the “where you’d rather be” feels, Mr Glasses knew exactly where it should be and who should paint it. LOCATION : The most compatible site was of course in a beachside town located in the far north eastern corner of New South Wales. A headland adjacent to the town is the eastern most point of mainland Australia. The Local Aboriginal people call this Cavvanbah, meaning “Meeting Place” Byron Bay Australia. We chose this location for its one of a kind appeal, harmonizing the “Where you’d rather be” tagline exquisitely, with a population of approximately 32,800 locals mostly surfers, and an ever increasing influx of habitual sun loving ozzies and travellers.
It’s no wonder another 2.1 million people are drawn to the beautiful beaches, warm waters and perfect waves, friendly bars relaxing restaurants and laid back lifestyle. In the lead up to summer, a fun loving audience engaged with mural artist Teazer in a “Corona Moment” whilst he painted in the sun on Bennelong Beach. Teazer aka Davey Mac is no stranger to painting at this scale or in front of crowds, He grew up in Bondi in the late 80’s. He was heavily influenced by graffiti art popping up around the area and later in books and magazines. Further inspired by skateboard art and culture, he developed his own version of New York style graffiti. His graffiti has taken him all around Australia and the world and he is well known in the industry. His journey has landed him in the beautiful surrounds of Byron Bay
